Excellent restaurant! We ordered garlic soup, pork schnitzel with chips and potato pancake. The food was fresh and very tasty! We also took fruit juice and beer. The price was not expensive at all, the staff is kind and the atmosphere is good. Recommended!
We had a great experience because of the two very friendly ladies serving. Very welcoming, attentive and down to earth. Food was also great, don‘t expect a Jamie Oliver event, the cook will provide an authentic Czech kitchen and knows what he/she is doing. We also enjoyed that it seems to be a regular place for the locals to have a beer and a simple but traditional meal for a reasonable price. Will go again if I’m in the area again.
Nothing special but good food for fair prices. Staff was friendly. Some able to speak German or English. Good choice of draft beer.
Traditional Czech restaurant with delicious food, very reasonable prices and friendly and helpful staff. Svíčková, pork ribs, chicken schnitzel and pork medallions are great, the meat is juicy and tender, I recommend it. Cons are the smell of cooking food in the hall, and the toilets, where it is time for some cosmetic repairs. If your goal is to eat Czech food quickly, deliciously and inexpensively, it is worth coming here from the spa area (just over a kilometer away), we will definitely come here again when we visit Mariánské Lázně :)
Great restaurant - where the locals come to drink and eat, so the prices are great. Czech cuisine, unfortunately very limited choice of vegetables. A good place to try out the traditional pork nuckle dish, however it's not a winner for me.The Tiramisu on the other hand is good.
The food is really good and the ribs are an absolute must! Eating at Švejka feels more like sitting in a living room - so cozy!
No frills meal but super yummy! We were very surprised by the quality of the food considering the price. The service was great, the ladies went out of their way to communicate with us. Adorable decor and a real jewel in a city packed with tourist traps. Absolutely a must if you’re hungry and in the area
